Review:
The contrast between serenity of nature and the chaos of the strip makes the crimson colored cliffs of Red Rock Canyon Conservation Area a perfect breather for tourists. Located 15 miles west of the strip, a drive along the 13 mile loop road leads to the bird's eye-view of fossilized sand dunes, desert beauty, and the scenic red rock formations towering as high as 3,000 feet leaving onlookers struck and awe-inspired. The park is also perfect for family picnics, rock-climbing, and horseback riding. Don't miss to visit the Keystone Thrust Fault where limestone grey and deep red rocks form magnificent color contrast, a natural beauty made as earth's tectonic plates collided millions of years ago. As you explore the 30 mile trail, you'll be entranced by the vastness of wildlife. Some wild species of rabbits, horses, bobcats, hummingbirds, hawks, and 200 others are unique to the area. In some months, you may find waterfalls drifting between the sandstones. This a great learning experience for both parents and kids.
