Review:
Floyd Lamb Park provides an oasis from the heat of Las Vegas sun and a perfect escape from the chaos of the city. The fertile greeneries, cool shade, and four stocked ponds are perfect venues for family picnics, barbecues, ball games, and fishing. Remember, you are only allowed to get three fishes and must have a Nevada Fishing License.
Some fossils of prehistoric animals were found at the springs, proving that Nevada was once a cool and wet place than a desert that it is now. Also, it is once a watering-hole for American Indians for their vegetation and animals.
The 2,040 acre park northwest of Las Vegas had been to several private ownerships before becoming a state park for decades and, presently, a city park.
